The Ultimate College Apartment Checklist

It may seem like the school year just ended, but it is never too early to begin preparing for your big move off campus. Shopping for your very first apartment can be overwhelming. Despite this, moving off-campus into an apartment has plenty of benefits. You will have more privacy, fun amenities, and a greater sense of independence compared to the dorms.

The first things that may come to your head when preparing your shopping list for your apartment are probably a bed or a couch. Luckily, many college apartments provide some of the essentials like bedroom and living room furniture. Be sure to check with the leasing office to know if your place will come partially or fully furnished. This can relieve some of the stress and the financial burdens associated with moving off-campus.

Here I have compiled a list of everything you will need for your college apartmnet. Of course, some of these items you may not find necessary, but these are just my suggestions. The list includes items that I have purchased for my own aprtment, along with items that I wish I had purchased.
